Marc Adler is the principal of CTO as a Service, a consulting service that he started in late 2018 that specializes in giving senior-level technical advice to startups. Marc Adler has been in the IT industry for over 30 years, the last 15 as the Chief Architect or CTO of companies like Citigroup Investment Bank, MetLife, XP Investments, Automated Data Processing, and Citadel Investment Group. He has also been involved in a large number of startups over the years as a full-time or fractional CTO. He has consulted for companies such as British Petroleum, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Adler has led development and architecture organizations over the years and has had his hands in the development of scores of systems in the financial and consumer sectors. Mr. Adler led the development of several unique and transformative systems, like Lighthouse at Citigroup, Cohesion at BP, and most recently, a distributed computation grid at XP Investments.
